Marketing Coordinator

Full Time

Support the execution of the firm’s marketing strategy across brand, content, events, digital

channels, and business development, coordinating activity across South Africa and Kenya offices.

Develop and maintain proposal toolkits for the firm’s core service lines and monitor their use in active client proposals.

Coordinate the design and rollout of business development frameworks and account planning tools across the consulting team.

Support the establishment and maintenance of structured business development forums and meeting programmes.

Plan and deliver flagship industry events, managing logistics, budgets, and post-event reporting to a standard appropriate for senior financial services professionals.

Support the development and maintenance of the firm’s digital presence, including website projects and multilingual content for pan-African markets.

Drive the firm’s thought leadership content programme, coordinating publication production across the firm’s priority service lines.

Support the design and monitoring of client engagement programmes for key accounts.

Manage the annual marketing budget, maintaining a live budget tracker and producing reconciliations.

Monitor the firm’s customer relationship management (CRM) pipeline, ensuring that data quality standards are met and reporting pipeline

status to the Director on the agreed cadence.

Manage the client satisfaction survey end to end, from distribution through response tracking, follow-up, and results summary.

Ensure that all marketing materials, communications, and documents meet the brand standards and are free of material errors before submission or publication.

Manage all external marketing supplier and vendor relationships, escalating performance issues before they become contractual or reputational risks.

Manage the social pages, maintaining a consistent posting cadence, a content approval workflow, and a regular programme of multilingual content for pan-African markets.

Manage the tender response process, including platform administration, documentation, deadline tracking, and submission coordination.

Document all material marketing operations and administrative processes and maintain audit trails covering their execution and controls.

Maintain structured coordination with the (Associate) Directors throughout the year.

Provide proactive progress updates, escalate risks and blockers early, and produce clear briefing materials on request.

Coordinate content contributions for proposal toolkits and thought leadership publications, providing written briefs to contributors with sufficient lead time for quality review.

Coordinate centrally with event planning teams, delivering logistics support on the agreed timeline.

Provide the Directors with the data, materials, and formatted content required for Management Committee reporting on marketing strategy and execution,

Delivered on time before each submission deadline.

Onboard the marketing intern, covering systems access, brand standards, and initial task allocation.

Set documented goals for the intern, aligned to the marketing strategy programme and delivery phases

Allocate work to the intern in a structured and purposeful manner, with sufficient briefing to enable independent task completion.

Hold regular management catchups at a minimum of one per fortnight throughout the intern’s employment.

Manage the intern’s performance proactively.

Provide documented feedback where expectations are not met and escalate persistent underperformance to the Director promptly.

Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Prior experience in a professional services, financial services, or B2B environment and will be comfortable operating across geographically distributed teams. Fluent English, both written and spoken. French language ability is advantageous given Francophone African market exposure. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, (advanced capability as an advantage) Exceptional interpersonal skills and professional presentation, consistent with the firm's client-facing standards. Familiarity with CRM systems and digital marketing platforms is advantageous. A working knowledge of the insurance sector is helpful but not required.
