Accurately calculate the cost of errors and the associated profit and loss impact, and facilitate the correction of errors across the Linked Investment Service Provider (LISP) platform, including where system/software fixes are required.
KPA/ Strategic Business Deliverables:
Cost calculation
Accurate calculations of error correction (e.g. Incorrect/late – investments/switches/withdraws; late or rejected annuity payment; rejected debit orders etc).
Implementation of error correction where required.
Adhoc request for cost calculation.
Feedback and communication on issues and status.
Testing
Understand software quickly in order to facilitate and validate fixes based on identified errors.
Participate in testing exercises to ensure that all components function as expected.
Logging of errors and bugs on Team Foundation Server (TFS).
Ensuring prompt and accurate feedback on test results against logs on TFS and project meeting.
Ensuring the business needs/objectives are met.
Data Integrity
Investigate and correct integration issues relating to data recons and data reconciliations.
Assist with tax data testing for annual and provisional submissions.
Data integrity testing and fixes (e.g – balances, unresolved deals).
Assist with bulk data updates to the LISP software.
Additional tasks
Bulk fee uploads and investigate anomalies.
Process death deemed disposals.
Generate adhoc tax certificates.
Assist with daily operational duties when required.
Relevant Cost and Management Certificate or Financial Management Certificate Min 3 years’ experience in investment and planning environment LISP Experience is essential Sound understanding of the products offered on a LISP platform. Experience in the understanding of both local and offshore funds trading. Proven ability to accurately calculate profit and loss. Understanding of the tax impacts on investment products. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (advanced formulas, reconciliations and data analysis). Microsoft Office packages. LISP software.
